What is MapleCalendar?
MapleCalendar is an AI-assisted scheduling and booking platform built for Canadian businesses. It combines team calendars, client-facing booking pages, two-way CalDAV/Google/Outlook sync, intelligent conflict detection, and automated reminders - all in one Canadian-hosted, PIPEDA-compliant suite that fits alongside the rest of MapleWorkSuite.
How is MapleCalendar different from Calendly, Cal.com, or Acuity?
Calendly, Cal.com, and Acuity are great booking links, but they bill in USD, store data outside Canada by default, and treat the team calendar as an add-on. MapleCalendar is Canadian-built, Canadian-hosted, priced in CAD, and ships the team grid, booking pages, conflict-resolving AI, and CRM links at the entry tier. It also two-way syncs both directions so you do not have to abandon your existing Google Calendar or Outlook.
Does MapleCalendar sync with CalDAV, Google Calendar, and Outlook?
Yes. MapleCalendar is a first-class CalDAV server, and ships native two-way connectors for Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 / Outlook. Changes you make in any of those apps appear in MapleCalendar within seconds, and the other direction is just as fast. Apple Calendar, Thunderbird, and any other CalDAV client connect with a single URL.
How does the AI conflict detection work?
When someone books a slot - or you drag an event onto the team grid - the AI scheduler checks every linked calendar across every team member, scores each candidate slot by working hours, focus blocks, travel time, and meeting load, and either books the best slot or flags the conflict with a one-click resolve. It learns your preferences over time, so by week two it is already proposing slots you would have picked yourself.
Is the booking interface available in English and French?
Yes. Booking pages, email confirmations, SMS reminders, and the in-app UI are all fully bilingual (English / French / Canadian French). Each booking page can be locked to one language or set to auto-detect from the visitor browser. Bilingual content is part of every plan, not an enterprise add-on.
Is MapleCalendar PIPEDA-compliant and Canadian-hosted?
Yes. Every event, attendee, and booking record is stored on Canadian-hosted infrastructure (Maritimes and Central Canada regions) with end-to-end encryption at rest and in transit. We align with PIPEDA, Quebec Act 25 (Law 25), and provincial privacy acts where they apply. Full audit trails are retained for the statutory minimum, and we never replicate calendar data outside Canada.
How do I get started with MapleCalendar?
Sign up free, connect your existing Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 / Outlook, or Apple Calendar with one click, and publish a personal booking page. There is no credit card required for the Free plan, and you can invite teammates and turn on shared calendars whenever you add TEAM access.
Does MapleCalendar do two-way sync with Google Calendar, including multiple calendars?
Yes. MapleCalendar syncs both directions with Google Calendar in real time, and you can connect more than one Google calendar at once - for example your work, personal, and shared resource calendars. Events you create in MapleCalendar appear in Google, and Google changes flow back into MapleCalendar within seconds, so every calendar is respected as busy time.
Does MapleCalendar work with Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Apple iCal?
Yes. There are native two-way connectors for Microsoft 365 and Outlook, and MapleCalendar is a full CalDAV server, so Apple Calendar (iCal), Thunderbird, and any other CalDAV client connect with a single URL. Changes sync in both directions in real time.
What is MapleBook and how does it work with MapleCalendar?
MapleBook is the public booking layer for MapleCalendar. Every account gets a booking page on Maple-Book.ca where clients pick from slots that fit your real availability, and the appointment is written straight onto your linked calendars with bilingual confirmations and reminders. Team accounts add a shared booking page, round-robin assignment, and resource booking pages for rooms or equipment.
Does MapleCalendar have built-in video meetings?
Yes. MapleCalendar includes a native video meeting platform, so a booked appointment can come with its own video link with no third-party account needed. You can also auto-generate Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or WebEx links instead if your team already uses one of those.
How much does MapleCalendar cost?
MapleCalendar is free for individuals: the Free plan is $0 and includes your personal calendar, a booking page, native video plus Meet / Zoom / Teams / WebEx, two-way Google and Outlook / CalDAV sync, and email reminders. TEAM access is $3 CAD per user per month and adds shared company calendars, round-robin assignment, and resource calendars. Optional AI tools draw on Maple AI tokens as you use them.
Does MapleCalendar support SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning?
Yes, and SAML single sign-on plus SCIM user provisioning are included on both the Free and TEAM plans - not locked behind a higher enterprise tier. You can connect your identity provider and auto-provision or deprovision users from day one.
How does MapleCalendar suggest the best meeting time?
The AI scheduler scores every candidate slot against your working hours, focus blocks, travel buffers, and current meeting load, then offers only the slots that genuinely fit. For multi-person meetings it checks every attendee's linked calendars at once and proposes times that work for everyone, so you avoid the email back-and-forth.
How does MapleCalendar handle time zones?
Booking pages auto-detect each visitor's time zone and show slots in their local time, while confirmations and reminders display the correct time for every attendee. Behind the scenes events are stored in a canonical time zone and rendered per viewer, so a client in Vancouver and a host in Moncton always see the same meeting at the right local hour.
Can a whole team share calendars and availability in MapleCalendar?
Yes. With TEAM access you get a stacked team grid showing everyone's availability, shared company and resource calendars, and round-robin assignment that routes new bookings to whoever is free. It is built for running scheduling across a Canadian team without paying USD for a US-hosted competitor.
How is MapleCalendar different from Google Calendar?
Google Calendar is a personal calendar; MapleCalendar adds the parts businesses actually need on top of it - client booking pages, AI conflict detection and time suggestions, round-robin and resource scheduling, bilingual EN/FR, and native video - while still syncing two-way with your Google Calendar so you do not have to leave it. It is Canadian-hosted and PIPEDA-compliant, with pricing in CAD.
Is my calendar data kept in Canada and can I export it?
Yes. Every event, attendee, and booking record is stored on Canadian-hosted infrastructure and is never replicated outside Canada, in line with PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25. Because MapleCalendar is a standard CalDAV system, your data stays portable - you can sync or export it through any CalDAV client at any time.
How are MapleCalendar's AI features billed?
The calendar, booking pages, sync, and meetings are free or covered by your TEAM seat. The optional AI tools - smart scheduling, conflict resolution, meeting notes, and summaries - draw on Maple AI tokens and are billed only as you use them, so you never pay a flat AI surcharge for features you do not touch.
Does MapleCalendar connect to the rest of MapleWorkSuite?
Yes. MapleCalendar plugs into MapleReceptionist for AI phone bookings into your open slots, MapleContacts for client records, and MapleInvoice for follow-up billing, sharing one communication timeline across the suite. A booking made by phone, by web, or by a teammate all land on the same calendar and keep the customer record in sync.
Is MapleCalendar bilingual for English and French clients?
Yes. Booking pages, email confirmations, SMS reminders, and the in-app interface are fully bilingual in English and French, including Canadian French. Each booking page can be locked to one language or set to auto-detect from the visitor's browser, and bilingual content is part of every plan.
Is there a free plan for MapleCalendar?
Yes. MapleCalendar offers a free account so you can start with no credit card and no commitment. Create your free account, explore the core features, and upgrade to a paid plan only when you need more volume or advanced capabilities.
